With just ten spacious tents - two of them being unique Treehide tents, ideal for families- you’re fully immersed in the wilderness, waking to the sounds of roaring lions and the distant calls of African fish eagles.

Chicari Camp offers a variety of expertly guided activities, providing unique ways to explore Gorongosa National Park's remarkable ecosystem.

Set out on game drives to spot lions, elephants, and Gorongosa's famous wild dogs, or embark on walking safaris that can start right from the camp.

Seasonal boating excursions reveal the beauty of the Urema floodplain, while bird enthusiasts will delight in the abundant avian species, particularly during the pan's transformation into a vibrant wetland adorned with beautiful lilies and flocks of wading birds.

Slow down and make the most of the prime location of Chicari Camp with a guided walking safari. Explore the remarkable area and marvel at creatures big and small.

Head to Mount Gorongosa for the day, where you'll explore the rainforest and learn all about the amazing work to bring this mountain back to life. Hike down to swim in the deep, clear, natural pools of Murombodzi Falls before a delectable picnic lunch and Gorongosa Coffee tasting.
