## Profile

Sable Alley is a stylishly sophisticated luxury tented camp in the heart of the Khwai Private Reserve, situated overlooking a lily-filled lagoon teeming with hippo.

The camp offers accommodation in 12 chic and spacious tented suites, including a two-bedroom family tent. The whole camp is constructed to maximise the amazing views, with each tent on a raised platform invoking privacy and immersion in the wilderness.

The heart of the lodge encompasses a charming lounge, dining area, and bar replete with squishy sofas and reference library. Adjacent to the lounge, a sprawling outdoor deck has two sitting areas and abundant space for al fresco dining. On the opposite side of the main lounge, a splendid swimming pool and sun deck provide a popular retreat between morning and afternoon excursions.

Sable Alley has partnered with the local communities of Khwai, and proceeds from staying here go straight back into the Khwai Village community projects.

Sable Alley offers a myriad of activities within the sprawling reserve. Guests can embark on traditional 4WD game drives during morning, afternoon, or early evening outings or opt for guided walks in the wilderness. Adventurers can also relish being poled through reed-lined waterways in traditional mokoros (dugout canoes) or engage in boating when water levels permit. Not to be missed is the unique Skybeds experience, where guests spend a night atop a multi-level timber platform, beneath the starry night skies.

## Activities list

The game viewing in the area around Sable Alley is fantastic, and you’ll find lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo all in close proximity as well as a multi-coloured array of birdlife.

Cruise the waterways from a different vantage point. Being on the water provides unique photographic opportunities.

Poling silently through the shallows is one of the most peaceful ways to be on safari. Lookout for miniature frogs and tiny kingfishers darting among the reeds.

Lace up your boots and set off on foot along the banks of the Khwai River.
