Rooted in a Scandinavian family’s deep love for Africa, this historic dhow - a wooden vessel once used by traders along the Swahili coast - blends adventure, relaxation, and a rich cultural heritage.

Anchored in the tranquil waters of the Lamu Archipelago, Tusitiri Dhow is surrounded by white sandy beaches, swaying palms, and the turquoise Indian Ocean, teeming with marine life. The archipelago, steeped in history, is home to Lamu Town, the oldest living town in East Africa and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Tusitiri Dhow welcomes up to 10 guests for an overnight stay, where you’ll sleep under the stars with the gentle sound of the ocean around you. For day trips, the dhow can host up to 25 guests, making it perfect for intimate gatherings. Below deck, you’ll find open-air bathroom facilities and even Wi-Fi - combining simple comforts with the authentic charm of life on the water.
