Ahhh... Cape Town. The Mother City!
Right down on the southwestern tip of Africa, Cape Town is an absolutely mind-blowing city full of colour, energy, diversity and beauty. With so much on offer, it’s hard to know where to base yourself to make the most of your visit.
Whether you stay in a swanky hotel, or choose to save a bit of money (to put towards a safari…) by staying in an Airbnb, the areas in which we recommend you stay remain the same.
Here are our Top 5 areas in Cape Town:
(see the map at the end of the article for locations!)
Gardens and Oranjezicht:
Gardens and Oranjezicht are two areas right in the heart of the historic centre of Cape Town. If you are coming to Cape Town for only a few days, this is where we would strongly suggest you stay.
With the famous Kloof Street right on your doorstep, you will be perfectly positioned to maximise your time exploring the fantastic restaurants, cafes, shops, galleries and museums, all to a stunning backdrop of Table Mountain and out across the harbour. This is also a really great area to base yourselves for access to all the other areas of Cape Town where you will be able to avoid traffic.
On your Doorstep:
