From the moment we first spoke to the Bonamy team we felt they listened to our dreams and aspirations... - Fiona & John
Bonamy was born out of a deep love and respect for Africa. Our ambition is to connect more people to Africa today, so we can conserve its wonder for future generations to come.
We are two childhood friends who have lived Africa firsthand - Toby as a professional guide for over 10 years, and James as a travel specialist and operational guru. Together we have the expert knowledge and experience to design phenomenal trips that are more impactful to you and to Africa.
We found Bonamy to not only be the most knowledgeable travel agent we've spoken to, but one that genuinely cares about ensuring you get the perfect experience... - Jordan & Marc
Toby first visited Africa at the tender age of four when he accompanied his family on their first of several safari holidays. From that moment on Toby’s love affair with Africa’s nature and wildlife grew and grew. When he was eight years old he boldly declared that he would one day be a safari guide, a dream that he realised after graduating.
Having spent much of the last 10 years in the bush, Toby is Bonamy's safari thoroughbred and has developed a deep and intricate knowledge of Africa. With very high standards, an uncanny nose for quality, and a love and respect for Africa that couldn't be purer, he brings a refreshing but authentic approach to safari planning.
Born and bred in the South of England, James is Bonamy’s intrepid traveller. When not honing his skills in London over the last decade, he spent much of his time on self-planned expeditions and adventures to some of the world's wildest places - from remote Patagonian mountain passes to hitchhiking across Kyrgyzstan, to standing on the Roof of Africa.
Its through these adventures that he has developed his superb ability to plan journeys with unerring accuracy and attention to detail, whilst still retaining the care as if they were his own.
