Days 1-4
Kichaka Zumbua
Using Kichaka Zumbua camp as your base, you will spend your first few days falling into nature's rhythms. Test your senses as you begin to learn and observe the natural world on foot, interpret the smells, sounds and signs which all form part of the addictive walking experience.
During your stay
Mornings commence with a steaming tray of coffee delivered to your room, sip it as dawn slowly sheds its light on a new day full of anticipation. After a quick breakfast you'll depart camp for a morning walk, lasting up to about five hours, covering around 10km. Allow yourself to fall into natures rhythms, test your senses as you begin to learn and observe the natural world on foot, interpret the smells, sounds and signs which all form part of the addictive walking experience.
Afternoon activities range from learning about tracking, short walks into the vast Kopje and Inselberg systems (huge rock outcrops), specialist birding, and normal game drives to name but a few.
Days 4-7
Kichaka Kidogo
Mid-way through the week, you will depart the main camp for a longer expedition, eventually reaching Kichaka Kidogo Fly Camp. No two walks cover the same ground so you'll be exploring a new part of the park
During your stay
After the previous few days' walking, grasp the opportunity to cover more ground on a full-day game drive, taking a picnic lunch with you as you cover longer distances to explore more remote corners of the park. Walking is always on offer though too, so no matter the mode of transport there is plenty to see and do.
Day 8
Enjoy a leisurely morning with no need to lace up your boots. Sip a coffee round the fire before a slow game drive to the nearby airstrip for your onward transfer.
