Days 1-4

Liwonde National Park

You'll be met on arrival at Lilongwe Airport and assisted onto a light aircraft flight into the heart of the African bush.

Arrive in time for lunch looking over the Shire River before your first afternoon safari.

During your stay

Liwonde National Park offers some of the most scenic game viewing, beautiful riverine surroundings and varied bird watching you could wish to find. A great deal of the terrain is Shire River floodplains, much loved by the healthy population of Elephants in this park. They are best viewed during your boat safari on the Shire River, one of the many highlights of a stay at Kuthengo Camp.

Days 5-9

Likoma Island

After a final morning safari, you will be transferred to the airstrip for a scenic flight to Likoma Island. Nestled on a secluded beach, Kaya Mawa boasts breathtaking views of Lake Malawi. The crystal-clear waters, golden sand, and surrounding lush greenery create a picturesque setting that will leave you in awe.

Prepare to be enchanted by its charm, captivated by its beauty, and rejuvenated by its tranquility.

During your stay

Kaya Mawa offers a wide range of activities for you to enjoy. You can snorkel or dive in the pristine waters of Lake Malawi, kayak along the coastline, embark on boat trips to nearby islands, or simply relax on the beach and soak up the sun. The island also has a rich cultural heritage, and you can explore the local community, visit the historic cathedral, or engage in community-led projects.

Departure

After a final romantic dinner on the shores of Lake Malawi, your time in Africa will come to an end. You'll be flown back to Lilongwe to start your journey home.
