One of the most remote camps of the NamibRand, Boulders Camp lies hidden within a huge outcrop of granite rocks, miles from anywhere. Five tented rooms seemingly disappear beneath the towering rocks, flanked by even larger mountains in the background.
The view from the front, however, stretches for miles. Endless gravel plains and russet red dunes, dotted with rocky outcrops span as far as the eye can see. With sustainability at its core, there are few lodges in Namibia that match up to the experience at Boulders.
A stay at Boulders is a truly immersive and mindful experience, a chance to slow down and explore the depths of Namibia’s desert. A minimum of 3 nights is required here, operating at an intentionally slow pace. Long scenic drives navigating the landscape, guided walks following in the footsteps of ancient bushmen, or e-bikes will all fill your days. Sundowners atop one of the sun-baked rocks is a must.
The elevated, spacious rooms each have a private deck and roll-up canvas walls on three sides allowing for air flow and uninterrupted views. Indoor & outdoor showers just add to the whole experience, and plunge pools are a welcome respite from the dry heat.
