A cosy camp offering an authentic safari experience in the knowledgeable hands of a great team of guides and staff.

The heart of camp is a rustic lounge area set beneath a huge Winterthorn tree, looking out over a shady waterhole favoured by local warthogs, elephant and other thirsty game.

When it comes to wildlife-watching, it’s hard to know where to look first – choose from the tangle of mahogany trees surrounding camp, the nearby plain where leopard prowl, the popular waterhole, or the open waters of the Luangwa River.

The camp has four authentic thatched chalets, on raised wooden decks overlooking the lagoon. Rich wooden interiors replicate the surrounding forest with bright splashes of colour throughout. The lounge and dining area is built around a large termite mound beneath a mahogany tree providing ample shade during the heat of the day.

A seasonal camp, Bilimungwe is best combined with one or more of its nearby sister camps as part of an extended South Luangwa itinerary.
